Project of Mixing Body Tube Welding

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to submit a design for welding of mixing body tube. The literary study summarizes knowledge of plastic bonding, choosing the right material for the given product and comparing methods of plastic welding. The reaction between the product and chemical substances plays a key role when choosing the right material. Therefore PVC has been chosen for its high chemical and mechanical resistance. A qualitative welding joint is ensured by using the method of heated element butt welding through a designed single-purpose welding machine.

This thesis deals with plastics with more focus on thermoplastics, from production, through use, to refurbishment and joining. In the first part of the thesis describes the basic division of plastics used in practice. The second part is focused on thermoplastics, their production and use. Furthermore, this section describes the properties of individual plastic covers some standards, or explanation, according to what is determined. In the third part is evaluated joining plastic parts. The most widely used technologies are described and explained in detail what kinds of welding is appropriate, or where it is better to combine the parts such as adhesive bonding.
